Over 40 professionals came together to network and learn more about operating a Senior Center. We were welcomed by the fabulous staff of the Baker Senior Center. The space was beautiful along with the participants. Opening up, we heard from Lori Radice & Shannon Bishop of Hillsborough County. They brought their energy and enthusiasm to the podium and shared about "How to Get the Most Out of Partnerships". We all walked away with some ideas. Next up was Carol Ware - Sunshine Senior Center facilitated a interactive "Programming Extravaganza". We were able to share ideas and toot our own horns on creative program ideas. On Friday, Kristy Carter and Jenny Macias teamed up to share about "Finding the Funds". Many times funding can be challenging and they were able to share some creative ideas from two different models on funding. Sheila Salyer - Tallahassee Senior Center closed out the training with "Creating Your Senior Center Road Map". Sheila is always helping others find the path to being organized.
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and watch for future opportunities. The FASC Training Registration is now available! Details are forthcoming, but the link below will allow you to submit your registration in the mean time!
